A full eternity band cannot be resized because stones run all the way around the ring, leaving no plain metal for a jeweler to cut, stretch or shrink. It is made in the size you order. Why a full band is fixed
A full eternity band is fixed in size because resizing means cutting the shank, adding or removing metal and soldering it closed, and a band with stones all the way around has no plain section to cut. Every millimeter of the hoop holds a stone in a setting, and cutting through it would mean removing stones and rebuilding the setting. In practice, a full eternity band is made to size and stays that size.
A half eternity band has stones across the top and a plain base, so it resizes like any other ring. A three quarter band has a short plain section at the base and can usually be adjusted a little.

Measure for the exact size
Because the size is fixed, measuring matters more for a full eternity band than for any other ring.
Use a ring you already wear on that finger. Measure its inside diameter in millimeters, straight across the center, and match it on our size guide. A US size 7 is 17.3 mm.
Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are larger in the evening, in warm weather and after salt. A band that fits at 8 am and pinches at 8 pm was measured at the wrong time.
Allow for width. A wide band fits tighter than a narrow one at the same size because more metal touches the finger. If you are between sizes on a band 3 mm or wider, go up.

If you are unsure, ask a specialist before ordering a full eternity band. That is the one ring where a guess is expensive.
When a half or three quarter band is the better choice
A half eternity band is the better choice when your size changes with the seasons, when the band will move between fingers in a stack, or when comfort against the palm matters, because its plain underside sits smooth and it can be resized later.
Choose a three quarter band for more sparkle from the side with a little room to adjust.
Choose a full eternity band when you know your size, wear the ring on the same finger every day, and want diamond at every angle.
Stacking
A band worn beside an engagement ring sits tighter to the hand, and two bands worn together act like one wide band on the finger. If you plan to stack, size the band to be worn stacked, not alone. A full eternity band that is going to live between two other rings should be measured on the finger with those rings already on.
